Studio Portraits at Ren | Edmond, Oklahoma

For any stage of life, updated portraits and headshots are mandatory. Brennan, a 24 year old college grad who is now in the workforce, wanted photos to capture her as she is now. Young and fun but sophisticated with a little flare. So thats just what we did.

Ren is a natural light studio in Edmond, Oklahoma that I absolutely love. It is seamless and white and bright and the perfect backdrop for any type of session. We kept the space as is — neutral — and used a tan couch for some dimension as well as a black roll away wall for a different look.

The neutral color palette of her clothes made the photos feel clean and focused on her — her smile. her eyes, her hair. Her first outfit was a pair of jeans with a white tank. We kept her barefoot to keep it simple and feel more youthful. Do these photos scream “Gap Ad” to anyone else??

The second outfit was a pantsuit but the color and design fit her age, energy, and vibe, without feeling boring or boxy on her body. We had some more fun with the pantsuit as I had her do some more playful things — shaking out her hair and real laughing. I wanted to capture her real smile and laugh because I knew if she felt stiff in them, the overall photo would feel stiff.

Brennan was glowing in these photos and I am so glad we chose to go the studio route for these!
